If you take the current size of the US’s national debt, and divide it by the number of people living in the US, you’ll discover that every person in America owes $27,905.
Remember not so long ago, when we had a surplus? Back before we blundered into a misguided war in Iraq and the government gave all that money back to the richest of the rich?

good article – basically says chill out, you only think the deficit is bad. Give it a read, then spend your time ranting about more important things.
