Ben Folds is one of my favorite artists, and the internet was all a-buzz last week about his cover of “Such Great Heights”. (Note the drummer playing a mailbox covered with a towel, using only a wooden spoon).
I dug the song and discovered that the original song by The Postal Service is even better.
Moral of the story: YouTube is chock full of quasi-legal goodness, including all kinds of aweesome music videos.

Since there are too many Chris Millers in this world, I added my middle initial to get this domain name. I long ago gave up the pretense of web anonymity that many people cling to. To me, this is the natural corollary of all that "be yourself" advice you got in grade school.

This is the same song that caused me humiliation and shame at journal club last year when I said it was an Iron & Wine song that the Postal Service did a cover of (instead of the other way around), and Matt Ward let the heavens fall on me.
