I love the open source movement. I think on so many levels it's the best model for humanity. The infinite flexibility and multiple models for controlling content/display/functionality are fantastic. long live open-source cooperative development

Open source is great. It's interesting how open source projects (whether it's software, or wiki-, or any forum which allows the unfettered exchange of ideas) is an amazing thing... it's really anti-capitalist in a good way. Not that I'm against capitalism, quite the contrary, but it's still the exchange of value for value. The contributors find something of value in their contributions (either reciprocal exchange, or the pleasure of problem solving, or the joy of public recognition for developing cool ideas, or SOMETHING). But it's not about the bottom line, per se. On another note, Chris, you should read Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui, by Karen Kingston. That book motivated ME to get rid of a bunch of junk, and THAT's saying something.
